POSTUMUS COINS
M. Cassianus Latinius Postumus, stands second in the list of the so-called thirty tyrants. Being nominated by Valerian governor of Gaul, he assumed the title of Emperor in A.D. 258, while Valerian was prosecuting his campaign agains the Persians. After reigning nearly ten years, he was slain by his soldiers in 267, and Laelianus proclaimed Emperor in his stead.
