Agrippina Junior, daughter of Germanicus and Agrippina, and mother of the Emperor Nero, was born at Oppidum Ubiorum, afterward called in honor of her Colonia Agrippina, now Cologne. In A.D. 39 she was banished by the Emperor Caligula, her brother, but was recalled by her uncle Claudius, who married her in A.D. 49.
