LEO II COINS

Leo II, son of Zeno and Ariadne was born about A.D. 467 and was raised to the rank of Augustus by his grandfather, Leo Ist, in October 473. Following the death of Leo Ist, he was left as sole ruler of the empire. He crowned his father co-emperor. Leo II died few months later, leaving Zeno sole occupant of the imperial throne.
